Oaxaca de Juárez will receive a historic investment of 130 million pesos, which will be allocated to the resurfacing and pothole repair of the city’s main avenues, announced Ray Chagoya, municipal president of Oaxaca de Juárez.
The mayor reported that these works are part of the second phase of the road rehabilitation program, involving work crews in agencies such as Guadalupe Victoria, Santa Rosa, Candiani, and San Martín Mexicapam, in addition to immediate repairs along Tecnológico Avenue.
“We are working in coordination with the governor, who has been attentive to the needs of Oaxaca de Juárez. This historic investment will improve mobility, strengthen road safety, and respond to one of the citizens’ main demands”, Chagoya stated.
The announcement was made jointly with the Governor of Oaxaca, Salomón Jara. During the event, the municipal president emphasized that the “Tache al Bache” (Patch the Potholes) program will continue to be strengthened through new work brigades and coordinated efforts among the three levels of government, prioritizing strategic streets and the most affected areas.
Additionally, Ray Chagoya reported that, thanks to joint management with the Governor and support from the federal government, the construction of the Bread and Dining Market at the Central de Abasto will be reactivated and completed, with an investment of 89 million pesos.
