**The State Civil Protection Council**, through the **Secretariat of Cultures and Arts** (Seculta), announced that due to the impact of **Hurricane Erick** on the coasts of Oaxaca, the selection process for the representative of the **Diosa Centéotl 2025**, originally scheduled for June 20 and 21, will be rescheduled.

“Participants from the **eight regions of the state**, as well as their companions, judges, artists, hosts, and special guests, have been notified of this decision as a **preventive and protective measure**, and also in solidarity with the affected communities.”

The organizers stated that **as soon as weather conditions allow**, and with continued consideration for the affected areas, a new date for the event will be communicated to participants and authorities.
